Practical Application

    1. Appoint a ‘resource reduction champion’ to manage the program and coordinate with Sustainability Office and other facility procurement.
    2. Review the recommendations outlined in the materials audit to identify and implement any no- or low-cost strategies for reducing resource.
    3. Evaluate additional opportunities for reducing consumption in categories such as kitchen and food services, paper products, other office supplies, electronics, facilities maintenance, renovation and construction, or other areas relevant to the facility. Prepare a list of proposed reduction and reuse best practices in each category.
